Make yourself a professional cartoon effect
We all know Photoshop is a sophisticated photo editing software, but many of us do not have much idea about what kind of editing is possible with this software. This article shows how to make a simple image using a Photoshop in a cartoon image.
First, open a picture in Photoshop and then it will be disesteted. That means that the image has to be black and white. The image was shown in Figure 1 and in the image 2 the black and white image was shown. To make the dark, go to the Adjustment from the Image tab and select the Desaturate option. Or press Shift + ctrl + U to direct the image.

Now you have to create a duplicate layer of the image. Selecting duplicate options from the Layer tab will create a duplicate layer. Now go to the Adjustment option from the Image tab and select the Invert option and the layer color will be inverted. Change the layer's blending mode to select the color dose. Now the film needs a little blur. For this, go to the filter tab and select the gusain blah in the blur option. The value of the blur should be determined in such a way that the image obtained is like the picture-3. In this case, the value of Blar 5.7 has been used. Although the outline borders of the picture have been quite good, the remaining parts remain a little darker. So need to change a little bit. To do this, the image must be flat first. Click the right-hand button on the left-hand side and select the flat image option to flat it. Double-click on the flat layer and change the name to 'outlining'. Create another layer below the outlining layer and fill it with white color using the paint bucket tool. You can name the new layer 'bg (for background)'. Now you have to create a layer mask for the outline layer. Selecting the outline layer and pressing a button called 'add layer mask' in the bottom of the Photoshop window will create a layer mask of the selected layer. Now select the layer mask (not the original layer) with the black foreground to brush with the brush tool, then some background and cloth textures will be removed, which will look like the picture-4. After completing the layer mask, selecting the main outline layer will see some changes in the texture.
Now you have to do a different kind of work. The film's image needs to be even better, so it is possible to edit properly. For this, change the outline layer's blending mode and select 'multiply' mode and the layer must be duplicated several times, so that the different parts of the photo get better. Here the image is duplicated 5-7 times, but it can be different for different pictures. The easy way to duplicate is to select the outline layer and press ctrl + j.
Now the picture is beautiful enough, but in some places the image has got extra effects which are unnecessary. To remove it, you must create a single layer by mixing duplicate layers. To do this, by pressing the ctrl key, select all the layers and right-click the button and select 'merge layers' option to get a single layer. Let us name this new layer as 'outlining detail' and also create a layer mask for it. Now select the layer mask of the 'outlining detail' and color it with the foreground black color like image 5. Then the original image will be more blurred. The outline layer works almost at the end. And a little bit to edit. Now create a new layer called 'lineart' and edit the layer. Edit the outlines of the image with a 4-5 px brush (with 100% hardness) to make the image look like a cartoon. On 'shape dynamics' and selecting 'size jitter' option in 'pen pressure', the image will look like a cartoon. When the outline editing is complete, create a layer by merging 'outlining', 'outlining detail' and 'lineart' layers and giving the name of the line 'Lineart'.
Now the work of coloring. Create a layer called 'base colors' and select the layer's blending mode 'multiply'. Keep in mind that the 'phase dynamics' mode of the pen tablet is on-the-go and the opacity of the paint is 100%. If there is no pen tablet, then the selection of the pen tool should be done. Select the image like Figure 6 and right-click in the selection and select 'make selection' option and keep 'feather ratio' in 0.
After the selection of the selection, the background color should be done. In this case the # fedbc9 color has been used. Alt + backspace presses the foreground color of the selected part or the paint bucket tool can also be used. In this way, the 'base colors' layer of the different parts of the layer to make the color of your choice. If the color goes out of the selection, it can be erased using Eraser. Here, the foreground coloring has been done in Figure 7.
Continue to enhance the depth of the picture at the end of the coloring. It can be done using some hilights and shadow. Here, make a difference in the depth of the layer. Name the new layer 'highlights / shadow' and right-click on the layer and select 'creat clipping mask' option. Cliped the elements of this layer are visible only on the base layer.
Now work is to fix the light source of the film. If the correct light source is fixed, the depth of the image will be adjusted, ie the shadow of the picture can be understood properly. The rules for fixing light sources are to shedding those parts of the film in which it should be dark and the parts that should be bright should be highlighted. It is better to use the brush with opacity 30% -40% to edit with the mouse. Fig. 8 shows the amount of shedding and highlighting. When you're done, go to the base color layer and the picture looks more beautiful. Finally, give a screen tone. Download and import a screen tone that you like from the Internet, in a layer called 'screen tone'. Keep in mind that the blending mode of the layer is selected in 'multiply'. Create a layer mask on the screen tone layer and make a color-like image with a 120-130 px brush (80% hardness). The image will be flushed again for the background. After the flat, give the background layer 'girl'. Now to remove the white background, take the Magic Wand Tool (Tolerance = 32) and select the background of the image. If you select shift by pressing the inner part of the original photo can be selected together with the background (Fig. 10). Once the background is selected, go to the Layer tab and select the hide selection option in the layer mask and delete the full background and the imported background will come back.
Create another layer below the girl layer below the background and fill it with # f07e0f color. Create another layer of Zoom Lines on the background layer. Select brush tool and set it to 8 px and hardness 100%. Select the brush tool by clicking on the brush panel, select Brush Tip Shape, set it to 175%, Shape Dynamics Select Size Jitter to 100% and white with foreground color. Now, hide the girl layer, pull shift with a brush tool in the middle and draw a line parallel to the 'zoom lines' layer. Press ctrl + t to change the line. Now press Alt and keep the middle box in the picture-11. Now go to the Distort option on the Filter tab and select Polar Coordinates. Select Rectangular to Polar. After pressing Ctrl + t, press Alt + Shift and resize. Again go to the filter and go to blur and set it to gyassoon 14.8. Now set the zoom lines layer's opacity to 52% and unhide the girl layer
In this way, any image can be converted into a cartoon using Photoshop. Here is a general idea of making cartoons. It is possible to edit more nicely with more effects.
